Most grand visions are nothing without a clear plan, resources, experience and a proven ability to execute. On every front, the members of the team that has been assembled at Clear Creek are not only among the very best in their fields, but also passionate about the vision of creating a club and community that will make a lasting contribution to all who call this special place home.

Importantly, the program is now fully capitalized with sufficient resources to execute the vision for Clear Creek and our Twin Pines Lake House – and importantly, our capital is equity, not debt. We are underway with the infrastructure, registrations and all the steps necessary to offer our first homesites for sale this summer. Of course, we are already playing our Coore & Crenshaw masterpiece, and 2016 promises to be our most exciting year yet.

Hart Howerton

ARCHITECTS

Hart Howerton is a team of strategists, planners, architects, landscape architects and designers with a global practice headquartered in New York and San Francisco. The firm has had the opportunity to work on combined conservation and development projects in the most spectacular natural settings, historic towns and vibrant, growing cities. Their outlook is long term, broad-based, innovative and linked into practical, time-sensitive business and conservation plans. Whole-system sustainability is an integral part of the practice.

Ben Crenshaw

GOLF ARCHITECT

The Ben Crenshaw’s approach is one of minimalism enhanced by an abiding appreciation of the game’s subtleties. It begins with the land – each hole subtly nuanced to yield an arrangement where the whole is far greater than the sum of the parts. Together with Bill Coore, this passionate pursuit has produced two of the top three Golfweek Modern Courses, six of the top 50 and 11 of the top 100 – not the least of which is Clear Creek Tahoe.

Bill Coore

GOLF ARCHITECT

Admiration and respect for the classic golf courses of the “Golden Age of Architecture” is a shared philosophy that traditional, strategic golf is the most rewarding. Collaborating with Ben Crenshaw, the artistry of Bill Coore honors the classic work of Ross, Mackenzie, Macdonald, Maxwell and Tillinghast. The glorious result is a course and experience that is timeless by design.

Jim Kidd

GENERAL MANAGER

Taking the reins at Clear Creek is one of the most respected General Managers in the business, who has held similar positions at Windsong Farm Golf Club and at both Sand Hills and Friars head, respectively the #1 and #3 courses in the United States. He’s a recipient of the PGA’s President’s Council on Growing the Game. Jim grew up in a rich golf tradition. His grandfather William (Willie) H. Kidd brought his Scottish golf heritage to the United States, eventually becoming Head Pro at Interlachen Country Club in Minneapolis, a position later held for decades by his son, William, Jr., Jim Kidd’s father. Jim was an All American golfer at Sam Houston State University, and has molded his career around the industry in which he was raised.
