The Clear Creek Tahoe development, management, and marketing team brings the experience necessary for the successful evolution of a nationally acclaimed private club community. Castle Hill Partners is a private investment firm based in Austin, Texas. Each principal has more than 30 years of experience in their respective area of expertise. Collectively, Castle Hill Partners has acquired and developed over 25,000 acres of commercial and residential land, over 10,000 units of multifamily housing, and more than 6 million square feet of office and industrial space. Their geographical focus is in the Continental U.S. and Hawaii.

David Howerton is chairman of Hart Howerton, a team of strategists, planners, architects, landscape architects, and designers with a global practice headquartered in New York and San Francisco. The firm has had the opportunity to work on combined conservation and development projects in the most spectacular natural settings, historic towns, and vibrant, growing cities. Their long-term, broad-based, innovative outlook is linked to practical, time-sensitive business and conservation plans. Whole-system sustainability is an integral part of the practice.

Ben Crenshaw’s approach is one of minimalism enhanced by an abiding appreciation of the game’s subtleties. Together with Bill Coore, this passionate pursuit has produced two of the top three Golfweek Modern Courses, six of the top 50, and 11 of the top 100 — not the least of which is Clear Creek Tahoe.

The glorious result is a course and experience that are timeless by design.

Director Of Sales

Georgia Chase, a certified luxury home marketing specialist, has been part of Clear Creek Tahoe since 2017 when the developer decided to bring on a professional real estate company to sell homesites to the public. She brings a wealth of experience specializing in the marketing and sales of prestigious properties in the region from her work in the family-owned business, Chase International, which is recognized as the “leader in luxury real estate” in Northern Nevada. Prior to her professional real estate career, Georgia owned and operated a general contracting business with her husband of 37 years and bred championship Arabian horses on their ranch in Washington state over several decades.

Born and raised in Northern California, Craig came to the Real Estate Team in 2018 with an extensive sales background. When not out touring clients at Clear Creek Tahoe, he enjoys golfing, fishing, and being close to any body of water. This father of four recently took over the coveted title of “#1 Dad” from Director of Membership, Chris Appling.

Sales Executive

Prior to joining the Clear Creek Sales Team in 2019, Jill led a top-producing real estate group in Southern California for 10 years. When out of the office, she loves experiencing all that Tahoe has to offer – skiing, hiking, paddle boarding, and most recently, learning to golf. Living on property allows Jill time to experience and enjoy the many Clear Creek amenities and socialize with all the members.

Poncy Catipon

Executive Chef

Chef Poncy joined Clear Creek Tahoe in 2021 and brings over 20 years of fine dining and country club experience to his new role as Executive Chef. His background includes leadership positions at Glenwild in Park City, Cottonwood Country Club in Salt Lake City, and time at Sushi Blue, where he refined his expertise in Asian-fusion cuisine. Born in the Philippines, he developed his love for cooking from his mother in a family of farmers and cooks. Outside of work, Poncy enjoys camping with his wife, Elsa, and their three teenagers, and restoring classic cars in his spare time.

Wes Peterson

Director of Food & Beverage

Wes Peterson is a culinary professional and beverage expert from Minden, Nevada. He attended the Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley, where he received an Associate’s degree in culinary arts and Wine Professional Certification. He is also a certified sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers and certified level 2 in spirits with the Wine & Spirits Education Trust. Wes is passionate about sharing his food and beverage knowledge with others. He is always up for a new culinary challenge and loves to explore new flavors and cuisines. In his spare time, Wes enjoys cooking at home, spending time outdoors, and traveling to new places.
Brandon Miller

Brandon Miller

Director of Golf

Brandon’s golf career began in Connecticut in 2013, soon relocating to Arizona in 2014 where he served as the Assistant Golf Professional and then Tournament Director at Whirlwind Golf Club in Chandler. In 2017, he obtained his Class A Membership with the PGA of America and accepted the Head Golf Professional position at Pine Canyon. He later served as the Director of Golf at Pine Canyon before being promoted to Assistant General Manager, where he also held the role of interim General Manager. In 2022, Brandon joined Clear Creek Tahoe, where he serves as the Director of Golf
Michael Garipay

Michael Garipay

CFO

Michael has worked in the hospitality and gaming industry for over 32 years, primarily focusing on corporate and operational finance. Having worked his way up through the industry, he is known as an executive with the ability to provide hands-on assistance in many operational areas including accounting, finance, marketing, entertainment, information technology, and general operations. Mike comes to Clear Creek Tahoe from Sugar Bowl Resort, a ski resort near Truckee, CA, where he was the Chief Financial officer for the past six years.

Jenn Targett

Director of Wellness

Jenn Targett, Director of Wellness, has developed our fitness, outdoor pursuits, and Sanctuary (spa services) programming for the club. Activity calendars full of group exercise, personal training and workshops, Tahoe area adventure excursions, motivational challenges, and international wellness retreats have all been curated with our membership in mind. Her 25+ year wellness career includes world-class experience at Golden Door in California (ranked the #1 destination spa in the world) and the Carolina Country Club, a five-star Platinum Club, where she worked with the likes of Webb Simpson, Danny Glover, and Phil Jackson. She was also the wellness lead for a new build clubhouse and program design in Denver, for Columbine Country Club, as well as the Wellness Program Manager for MillerCoors Brewing (the top ranked corporate wellness program in the country) in Golden, Colorado for a number of years. An avid hiker and outdoor enthusiast, Jenn has tackled over 25 14,000 ft peaks- including the tallest in the continental US, Mount Whitney. When not at work, she is in the mountains – hiking, rappelling, biking, running, and paddle boarding.

Director of Greens & Grounds

Mike Cunniff has been the Director of Greens and Grounds since 2012. Prior to Clear Creek, he worked at multiple clubs in the Boston area and spent 8 years as the Lead Assistant at Old Sandwich Golf Club, another Coore & Crenshaw design. His work with them and admiration for their designs is what brought him to Lake Tahoe where he resides with his wife and three children. When he’s not working, Mike enjoys skiing, mountain biking, golf, and spending time at the lake.

Director of Marketing And Communications

Originally from Las Vegas, Kate McComas brings over 15 years of experience in event planning, public relations, and web development. She earned her degree in Communication Studies and Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Reno. Kate joined Clear Creek Tahoe in July 2021 as our Concierge Manager before stepping into the role of Director of Marketing and Communications. When she’s not taking photos around the Club or creating emails for the members, Kate enjoys wine tastings and playing golf with her husband.

Diliana Vorenkamp

Director of Hospitality

Diliana, a.k.a Dilly, joined our team in May 2021 as a Food and Beverage Manager. Most recently, she served as Clear Creek Tahoe’s Concierge & Events Manager. Dilly has a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism Management and over 30 years of experience in Hospitality. Before joining the Club world, her resume included various roles at Caesars Entertainment and Marriott International, as well as a few smaller companies in her native country, Bulgaria. Dilly has a great commitment to service, enjoys learning new things and loves interacting with people and four-legged friends.

Cindy has a professional background in law enforcement and over 25 years of experience in the field. She has a degree from the University of Nevada, Reno in Criminal Justice and Social Work. Before joining Clear Creek in 2020, Cindy retired from the State of Nevada after serving in the Fugitive Unit of the Adult Parole and Probation Department. Prior to that, Cindy worked for the City of Carson as a Juvenile Probation Officer. Her passions include spending time with family, golfing, mountain biking, kayaking, hiking, camping, and playing pickleball.

Lorraine Turner

Director of Human Resources

As a seasoned Human Resources professional, Lorraine has over 30 years of well-rounded experience working for organizations in the healthcare and hospitality industries. Most recently, she served as Chief Human Resources Officer for PHR Management, Inc., overseeing their California properties, and held this position until their Tahoe property sold in 2021. She remained on during the hotel’s transition before coming to Clear Creek. Her experience includes a focus on organizational development and employee engagement. Lorraine strives to promote a positive culture of continuous opportunity and to make an impact on an organization’s most valuable asset, its people. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking for friends and family, going on long hikes or runs on one of the beautiful trails in Tahoe, and she is known for making a mean Basil Gimlet.

Director of Facilities

Mark is an accomplished Director of Facilities and Project Manager with over 30 years of experience overseeing the operations and maintenance of large-scale performance venues. He excels in ensuring seamless facilities logistics, developing and managing high-performing facilities staff, all while upholding the highest standards of safety and comfort for all club members. In his spare time, Mark enjoys camping with his wife and three beagles. He is also a music enthusiast who plays the drums.

Nate Gross

Director of Racquet Sports

Nate is a highly accomplished racquet sports professional, holding USPTA Elite Tennis Professional and IPTPA Pickleball Professional certifications. He played Division 1 college tennis & holds a Master of Business Administration degree. In 2016 he founded a new racquet sport called Spec Tennis, which is a unique blend of traditional tennis and pickleball. Since 2021, Nate has developed the racquet sports program at Clear Creek Tahoe. He still likes to compete from time to time and recently qualified for the Pro Men’s Singles Main Draw at the PPA pickleball tournament in Austin, TX.

Lonnie Lewis

Director of Housekeeping

Lonnie Lewis is a highly accomplished and dedicated professional with several years in the hospitality industry. He began at Clear Creek Tahoe in 2021 with the intention to develop a fully operational Housekeeping team to service the day-to-day needs of our Club’s amenities. Lonnie has worked within the resort industry since 2010, having previously been a manager for Marriott in South Lake Tahoe. Lonnie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Resort and Lodging Management, from California State University Chico. Lonnie enjoys spending time with his family and playing year-round baseball with his two children.
