The gentle topography of Clear Creek considerably reduces the complexity and cost of site and foundation work and construction is feasible year-round. Other factors reducing building costs include: lower snow removal costs; less snow load for roofs; and better access to resources labor and building materials in nearby Carson City.

To assist members of the community in the design of their new homes, Clear Creek Tahoe established a set of guidelines to shape the architecture and landscape. The underlying objective is to produce a community identity – one that is unified but still diverse – one that celebrates and enriches the ongoing history and indigenous natural region but also supports individuality.
We can provide referrals to architects, interior design professionals and contractors who have experience in the region and are talented in their craft.
Design review at Clear Creek Tahoe is, by design, a friendly and collaborative process administered by Keith Franke, who has been responsible for guiding the architectural standards and residential construction programs in some of the region’s most noteworthy communities.
Clear Creek has established relationships with some of the premier builders in the region, and will be pleased to make introductions. These builders have also created a collection of handsome plans that meet our design guidelines and promise to shorten and simplify the time between selecting a homesite and welcoming your first guests.
